TEAMBUILT

When you hold a Teambuilt model in your hands, you will know that this guitar was built by a team of the best luthiers in the Framus Custom Shop with an eye for precision.

Construction takes place 100% in Germany and is also 94% CO2 neutral!

There is just a little more technology behind the production of the Teambuilt instruments. For example, all guitars from these lines have the Invisible Fretwork Technology (IFT).

Teambuilt models

Wood types

Mahogany

Depending on which model you choose from the Teambuilt series, you can expect bodies with a Mahogany back.

The Idolmaker, Diablo II Supreme, Panthera II Supreme, etc. contain Mahogany bodies.

The question we sometimes get is "are these the same bodies as the D series?" No, of course not! There is also a difference in mahogany, although this may not be visible at first glance, but you can 100% assume that there is a difference here too. Luthiers' years of experience determine which ones will be used for Teambuilt. Mahogany has a rich, warm sound that is loved by many guitarists and is therefore widely used.

Swamp Ash

With the Diablo II Pro and the Idolmaker 5'R you get the best possible Swamp Ash for the body.

Swamp Ash gets its name from the place in which it grows, namely the warm moist swamps in America. This climate causes the trees to grow quickly and develop larger growth rings, making the wood lightweight. Swamp Ash is also called swamp ash. It is light in weight and color, shows a beautiful flame and gives a warm sound.

Maple

The top of a guitar is a much discussed topic. Is it the drawing that makes the difference or the type of wood itself?

AAA maple is used as the top of the Panthera II Supreme, Diablo II Supreme, Television, Idolmaker. Maple is very hard, has a high density and produces a loud and powerful sound. Maple also produces a clear and pure sound and is therefore loved by many guitarists. In addition, an AAA top also has very nice flames (drawing). The drawing may differ, but do not expect any sound differences. Each piece of wood may sound different, but they are close in sound

Mayfield Pro

This model gets a complete body from Maple.

Neck & Fredboard

Depending on the model, you can find a Mahogany or Maple neck on the guitar. The fretboard can be a Tigerstripe Ebony or Rosewood fingerboard depending on the model you choose.

The Ebony wood type has a high density and therefore a tight sound and produces beautiful high tones. Because this type of wood is more expensive and more difficult to work with, you will often find ebony on more high-end instruments. Ebony usually has a dark black color and looks particularly beautiful. The wood type Rosewood is relatively porous compared to, for example, ebony. The tonal quality of Rosewood is warm with an emphasis on the lower frequencies.

Finishing

With teambuilt guitars you can choose from different options in terms of finish. Depending on the model you have the options:

Transparant satin top, side & back

Plek® technology

All Teambuilt models are adjusted with the 'Plek® technology', an advanced accurate measuring and trimming technique.

The guitars are measured at every possible playing position. The pressure is accurately calculated by simulating the resistance of the guitar strings and taking into account the arch of the neck.

Then, in the trimming process, each fret is worked individually, based on the previous measurements. The fret radius is retained even after the milling process. The result is a flat string position, perfectly rounded fret crowns, improved intonation and great playing comfort. In short: say goodbye to fret buzz, even at the lowest actions!

The perfect fret

There is just a little more technology behind the production of the Teambuilt instruments. All guitars from these lines have the Invisible Fretwork Technology (IFT).

What does this mean?

First, frets are installed and finished with precision down to a hundredth of a millimeter, with consistent quality. In addition, the fret slots are not cut across the entire fingerboard, as is done by most manufacturers.

Two millimeters of wood are left 'open' on both sides, creating a kind of U-profile. This makes the neck of your guitar more resistant to possible twisting and vibrations are better transmitted. Then, in the trimming process, each fret is worked individually, based on the previous measurements. The fret radius is retained even after the milling process. The result is a flat string position, perfectly rounded fret crowns, improved intonation and great playing comfort. Say goodbye to fret buzz, even at the lowest actions!

In short, with a teambuilt model you get a guitar from German Perfection delivered with an authenticity document and of course a solid gig bag

Semour Duncan

The relationship between Framus and Seymour Duncan pickups has been solid for years. Not surprising when you know that the pickups that are made, just like Framus, stand for quality and are one of the world's largest pickup manufacturers. The sound is unanimously praised by the greatest musicians you can name.

Depending on the model, you can find humbuckers (with push-pull), P90 or single coils on the Team/Masterbuilts.
