Koch is one true understanding in the world of guitar amplifiers/amps, renowned for their great quality and high-end electronics. But, did you also know that the story of this giant started not so far from our shop, namely in...The Hague? And that to this day Koch amplifiers are shipped all over the world from this region?

We are therefore very proud that we can promote this Dutch brand and are its main supplier.

Koch Guitar Electronics was founded by Dolf Koch from The Hague, who built his first tube amplifier for his record player at the age of nine. When a passion for playing the guitar emerged, this required a self-built guitar, because where could you find an electric version at the time? This included the necessary adjustments to his amplifier; the first Koch amp was born!

It would take several more years before Koch Guitar Electronics got off the ground in 1988. The first products, including the GPA De-Luxe preamplifier, proved to be a great success and quickly spread throughout the world.

Innovation

The KV50 was the first real Koch tube amplifier with a 19-inch 'all tube' stereo system. And there it was, that unique Koch sound! With this model the tone was quickly set in terms of versatility in sound and tonal balance. The model featured adjustable speaker mute, buffered serial and parallel effect loops, built-in power soak, a recording output with speaker simulation filter and satellite outputs – ahead of its time and an immediate success.

Koch continues to look for ways to further innovate the market, now led by Edwin Kool, also the owner of distributor USA Music Import. Thanks to American master guitarist Greg Koch and his signature amplifier 'The Greg', the brand has rapidly gained popularity on the other side of the pond in recent years. And not without reason: Koch amps are versatile and high-end, without sacrificing functionality. Naturally, they are built and tested in the Netherlands with the greatest care. In short, a must for every guitarist!
